About School of Philosophy NSW E-mail

aboutus_exUnless you start doing something different, you’re in for more of the same.

The School welcomes a healthy spirit of enquiry and sees this as a prime requisite for the transformative process to begin.

It is a place where you can embark on your own voyage to discover your true purpose; in your own time, at your own pace, with access to all possible resources for the journey.

Part 1 of the Course is the first taste of Practical Philosophy. And its likely through this, that you begin to see the School as you would a friend; with you for the long term.

This is not an 8-week, quick-fix solution to life; the School operates as a partner for your journey.

The School of Philosophy in NSW / ACT has been operating in this way since it opened in Sydney in 1967.

It has since opened branches in Newcastle, Wagga and Canberra and is affiliated with Schools in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide in Australia and in many other countries.

All work in the School is performed by students in a spirit of service and philosophical practice.

Except for a small, administrative staff, the work is undertaken on an unpaid, voluntary basis.

All tutors are senior members of the School who have studied Philosophy at the School for many years and still keep their learning fresh in the company of their own Group on a weekly basis. No tutors are paid.
